Hello all

Did you know that if you type "The Dice" and "ttrpgs" into most search engines you don't actually learn aboiut us. Who knew? Anyway yeah we've known this for a while and have decided to do something about it finally. We've come up with a studio name that we're putting out our games under now; welcome to Rat Wave Game House. We've updated some links on thedice.uk but most things (like Itch) should redirect anyway.

We've released a WiP of an upcoming game to Patreons. The game is Fear the Taste of Blood, a hack of Beyond the Rift, modelled after monster movies in the Universal horror vein. The WiP on Patreon is plaintext and definitely playable, beyond further editing the main things to work on text wise are some pre-generated scenarios and a introductary essay. Check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/fear-taste-of-62209448

Remember the Patreon is Pay What You Can for the same access throughout. As more Patrons join we'll be uploading our back catalogue as rewards.

As well as Fear the Taste of Blood we've been juggling progress on a couple of different things:
__

Jukebox Tarot is a GMless game for playing musical theatre stories (using the music you love), with different playsets focusing the story differently with unique prompt oracles.

It's our biggest project for the year. We have the core rules written and the first playsets in good development. The two furthest along playsets are Camaraderie, about the interconnected lives of young artists in a city, and I'm with the Damned, about a band on a tour who've made a terrible Faustian deal for their success.

Currently we need to finish of prompts for at least one of the playsets so that we can move on to playtesting.

__

Transgender Deathmatch Legend: A beat-em-up hexcrawl using the mechanics of our trick taking fighting game BLOOD//RUSH.

__
The Towering Infinity - A LUMEN based one shot about timelost adventurers scaling a collapsing tower of time to stop someone break the universe. It uses a Tower Block mechanic and adds PvP rules for a dramatic final confrontation. (This is a re-working of our second released game and would use the LUMEN modification we used in Wild Duelist).
__

The Dream of the Thinking Engine - A solo journalling game about entering a strange dream land and sketching images of the creatures you find there.

__

Finally it is currently Creator Day on Itch and three of our games are on sale; Old Gods and Young Guns (marble-based story game in two parts, Jack Kirby's New Gods meets the Space Western), How to Embrace a Swamp Creature (mentally ill swamp things in a deprived commuter town) and Wild Duelist (introspective medieval LUMEN action). See here: https://ratwavegamehouse.itch.io/

Three of our games are also currently in bundles with lots of other great games.

Our two solo games, The Story of a Story and Follow Me in the Night, are included in the Solo But Not Alone 2 bundle, raising money for suicide prevention through Jasper's Game Day. See here: https://itch.io/b/1227/solo-but-not-alone-2

Meanwhile Save Our Souls, our GMless, zero-prep, demonic heist game, is part the Mutual Aid for Lauire bundle. All funds raised will go directly to Laurie for the duration of the bundle and help him to cover the costs associated with finding new housing.

That's all for now; I imagine the next update will be coinciding with a public release of game; maybe Fear the Taste of Blood, perhaps Transgender Deathmatch Legend, I suppose the only way to find out is keeping your eyes peeled.

Later!
